We saw it the same way. We&#8217;ve been wearing FC since those days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>We like to wear kit from many different brands. Some days it&#8217;s Danish, other days it&#8217;s British or Australian. For an accessory brand that could tie any of them together without clashing, FC was the one. Socks from apparel brands are designed to coordinate with their own kits, so logos tend to collide. FC sat in a neutral position that worked with any brand, which is exactly why we committed our feet to them.<\/p>\n<p>If FC started making apparel, <strong>wouldn&#8217;t that mean giving up that neutrality<\/strong>? We worried we&#8217;d feel a quiet guilt pairing FC socks with another brand&#8217;s jersey.<\/p>\n<p>On top of that, looking at the first-year lineup, the SKUs were still few. The moment we did, nearly all of our prior concerns evaporated. The smooth fabric, the clean silhouette, the thoughtful usability of the pockets, the way it settled onto the body.<br \/>\n<strong>&#8220;Ah, this is good kit,&#8221; we judged instantly<\/strong>. Surprisingly few brands land that cleanly. Rather than jumping into kit right after founding, they anchored themselves as an accessory brand first, likely researching apparel behind the scenes all along.<br \/>\nAnd only once they were confident they could out-execute other brands did they finally bring it to market. FC openly states that their small size, closeness to the community, and speed of decision-making are what shape their campaigns, launches, and ultimately the brand itself.<br \/>\nTheir approach to ambassadors follows the same logic: follower counts and algorithms take a back seat to the person&#8217;s own story and what they bring to the cycling community.
